Burlesque Performance Course

$420/6-week course (Payment plans available)

The Burlesque Performance Course ends with a live group performance on stage at the Burlesque Baby show in Wellington. Classes are 1.5 hours long.

This practical 6-week course teaches you fundamentals of performing, as well as not only learning a group choreography, but also growing your confidence, be coached on the process of creating a burlesque routine from start to stage, and be supported on the day of the show by your instructor.

All props and most costuming items are provided as part of the course fee, but students are required to provide their own shoes and undergarments. Guidance will be given on what to get and where from, if you don't already have anything suitable.

Pre-requisites: at least the Beginner Burlesque course at Studio L'amour (or prior burlesque experience).

Mentoring & Private Lessons

Studio L’amour offers a Mentoring Programme in a 5-session package structured to prepare you for a solo performance. Guidance and support is given at every stage of the development process to help you feel your most comfortable and confident on and off stage.

We also offer private lessons whether it’s to choreograph a dance routine to surprise a friend, to work on a solo routine, or simply to avoid group classes and have extra focus on your individual requirements.
