Alisha
Admin Superstar | Social Media | Show Coordinator
Originally from a small French town, Alisha is an undergraduate Bachelor of Laws (Honours) student at Victoria University of Wellington.
She has danced since the age of 3, and at 16 begun full-time pre-professional training with the Alberta Ballet School in Canada. With such a passion at hand, Alisha has taught dance for younger ballet students in RAD and for disabled children with StarJam Wellington.
As Studio L’amour’s amazing Admin person, Alisha handles all the email communications, coordinates our fabulous Burlesque Baby shows, manages the studio’s social media presence, and ensures smooth operations behind the scenes.
Erin

Erin has been dancing her entire life, beginning with ballet at the age of five. Her passion for dance expanded as she added tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and lyrical styles to her tool belt. In 2022, Erin joined Studio L’amour starting with the Level 1 Burlesque class, and begun teaching at the start of 2024. She loves sharing her love for dance with others, helping them feel confident and comfortable! Her performance style is spooky and sultry, with a flare for both classic and neo burlesque.

Jayne

Jayne (AKA Courtney L'amour) has been working in the entertainment and dance industries for over three decades. She has performed and taught at shows and festivals around the world, and opened Studio L'amour in Wellington in 2013 to share her love of burlesque and dance with the community.
When she’s not behind-the-scenes at Studio L’amour, she produces shows including The Burlesque Masquerade Ball, Cabaret L'amour and Burlesque Baby. She is also the founder of cabaret dance troupe Les Folies de L’amour.
Kayla
New Plymouth: Hens Parties | Private Lessons
Kayla leapt on stage at the age of 3 for her first ballet recital, tapping, shimming and twirling her way through many different genres of dance over the coming years. After 13 years of dance training and a short break, she found herself stage kittening at a burlesque show where she fell in love with the costumes and unique art form. A few years later, and with a bit of help from some patrons, at her second offical burlesque show, the persona of “Cici von Rouge” was born! Cici is known for her fan veil tricks, improv dance skills, and captivating stage presence. Kayla not only performs in shows, but produces them too: she runs a variety performance competition called Open Call that is for all performance genres.

Jena

Jena is an award winning burlesque performer under the stage name Lady Sane. She has entertained all around New Zealand and is a member of Les Folies de L’amour dance troupe.
You can find Jena in the Wellington area teaching hens parties and private lessons at Studio L’amour. She is also our go-to performer for corporate and party entertainment!
Margaret

Margaret has been dancing since she could walk, starting with ballet, moving to jazz and contemporary, before she finally ended up falling in love with Pole and Burlesque.Originally starting out as a Pole instructor in 2023, she has transitioned into teaching burlesque.
You can find Margaret in Wellington & Lower Hutt teaching burlesque classes, specialty workshops, private lessons and hens parties at Studio L’amour. She also performs around the Wellington area under her stage name: Lavinia Lovestruck.
