Intro to Burlesque +

The 2-week Introduction to Burlesque course is for absolute beginners who want to get a taste of the art of Burlesque in a fun and welcoming environment.
You will learn introductory classic burlesque moves and feather fan dancing. This is designed to be done before the Level 1 Burlesque Course. Available in either a 2-week course on a Monday evening, or a 2-hour bootcamp on a Sunday day.

Level 1 Burlesque ++
$165/4-week course (Payment plans available)
The 4-week level 1 beginner burlesque course covers classic burlesque moves like:
classic bumps and grinds
show poses
walking & strutting
sexy glove peels
feather fan dancing
cabaret chair dancing
stage presence and confidence
Suitable for those who have completed the Intro to Burlesque course, or those with some experience. Suitable for all shapes, sizes and fitness levels - ages 18+.
Level 2 Burlesque +++
$165/4-week course (Payment plans available)
The 4-week level 2 intermediate burlesque course is designed to follow on from the beginner course. In this level we focus more on:
light stripping/reveals
floor work
putting together a routine
intermediate fan dancing
intermediate chair dancing
Suitable for people with experience or people who have completed beginner burlesque.
Level 3 Burlesque ++++
$165/4-week course (Payment plans available)
The 4-week level 3 advanced burlesque course is designed to follow on from the intermediate burlesque course. This course is tailored to the desires and goals of the students.
In this level we focus on:
burlesque choreography
advanced fan dancing
advanced chair dancing
floor work
stage presence
performance tips
Suitable for people with an intermediate level of experience or people who have completed intermediate burlesque.
Performance Courses
Want to perform as part of a group? We instruct you on the fundamentals of performing, teach you a group choreography and support you to perform in a live burlesque show in Wellington, at Fringe Bar. We also offer one-on-one mentoring to support your solo performing.
Chair Dancing 2-Week Intensive
$90/2-week course
Chair dancing is a classic cabaret art-form and can be either sharp and sassy or slow and sensual. In this 2-week course, learn how to safely use the chair, and learn different poses and effective yet simple chair moves as well as choreographies and sequences.
Chairs are provided. Bring shorts or leggings, and a water bottle.

Feather Fan Dancing 2-Week Intensive
$90/2-week course
Feather fan dancing is a beautiful art-form used in classic burlesque. Learn fan holds, moves, poses and effective yet simple sequences and choreographies.
Fans are provided.

Burlesque Boa Work 2-Week Intensive
$90/2-week course
Learn how to manipulate classic burlesque boas to add some classic tease to your repertoire.
Boas are provided.

Light Stripping / Reveals 2-Week Intensive
$90/2-week course
Burlesque reveals teaches you different light stripping tricks, and some hot hot tips. Play with robes, stockings and many other items of clothing/costumes. Learn effective yet simple sequences.
This course requires a base of skills taught in our beginner burlesque courses and other classes. Sign up for beginner burlesque or private lessons if you'd like to join this course but don't have the necessary experience.
Please note that you can wear the items over your regular clothing - we want you to feel comfortable!
